I went my whole life being undiagnosed with ADHD. Once I moved in to college, I was struggling to adapt to college life from having trouble paying attention to long lectures, forgetting assignment dates and acting out with friends. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 20. I'm now 24 and medicated for ADHD and can really tell a difference between days I take my meds and not.
